I always thought this was, and still is, such a beautiful song. I loved it even more after watching Beyoncé perform "Halo" at the NAACP Awards. I have been waiting & waiting for this fantastic single to be released and cannot wait!!! REALLY CAN'T WAIT ANY MORE!!! April 13th seems like such a long, long way away... I'll be keeping an eye on the calendar

Congratulations Bey on such an AMAZING song so hoping it gets to #1 after all its WAY better than that GaGa's "Pokerface" and Flo Rida's "Right Round"....

This is the most beautiful song I have heard for a very long time and I am glad that you have released it as your next single. I was watching the video on the music channels on Mothers Day whilst trying to get my 8 month baby to sleep (she loves the music channels) and I was singing along to it, she fell asleep and I was in tears as the words just made me overcome with emotion and thankfulness for such a beautiful little girl.
The words hit deep and everytime I hear this song it brings a happy tear to my eye. Keep up the good work Beyonce, the whole album is fantastic. Heres hoping that it goes all the way to number 1, it deserves too.

I feel so guilty for suggesting to my daughter to sing 'If I were a Boy' for her audition - she practiced for months and X factor producer judges, although impressed with her rendition said it wasn't contemporary enough !!!... put her on the spot and suggested she chose other songs .. i am flabberghasted, Beyonce performed that song beautiifully on their show and they claim 'it is not contemporary' ???!!.. I can understand if they said it wasn't the right song for my daughter but they didn't .. in fact , even though we had waited 10 hours to get the 2 min audition along with another 8 or 10 thousand hopefuls on that day... they asked her to sing another song although they had made it clear that each contestant could only have 2 mins , sing a verse & a chorus. She gave them a selection of alternatives as she had prepared and they dismissed them, finally thinking that Tony Braxton's 'unbreak my heart' was the right choice!!! i heard that song 15 years ago .. it was contemporary then not now?!!! X factor is clearly some set up nonsence , giving drool about a chance for talent ... Absolute nonsence .. I've never been a pushy mum but they have turned me into one by insulting an Absolutely beautiful, contemporary Song choice .. Beyonce should be enraged as her song was totally dismissed ... Flabberghasted .. what do you say .. is X factor all a fix??? Someone said to me today who works for Channel 4 that the auditions are all a farce and in fact they contact agencies for their selection of candidates /..... After 12 hours of 'silent cheering' enforced on myself and apprx 15,000 other people which I'm sure has been repeated over & over agian & we all put up with for the 'supposed dream' .. it's nonsence ... X factor is clearly about crushing dreams ..& making as much money out of it as possible... We all spent 10 hours & the cost of our varied journeys to be UNPAID EXTRAS
