Last Friday, Beyoncé and her mother and business partner, fashion designer Tina Knowles opened a cosmetology center at Phoenix House—the nation’s leading substance abuse treatment provider that helps men, women, and teens get their lives back on track. The new Beyoncé Cosmetology Center at the Phoenix House Career Academy in Brooklyn, NY will offer a seven-month cosmetology training course, designed to teach Phoenix House clients the career skills they need to successfully re-enter the workforce.
