"Él es la razón del por qué hago lo que hago" dijo Beyoncé acerca de su ídolo musical, Michael Jackson. Beyoncé ha sido una gran fan de Michael Jackson desde que vio un show en vivo a los 5 años. Una de las canciones de Michael, "I Wanna Be Where You Are" se convirtió en una de las favoritas de Beyoncé y la eligió para su primera audición. Cuando la familia Jackson honró a la leyenda el 8 de Octubre en el Michael Forever Tribute Concert en Cardiff, Wales, ella grabó una presentación especial para el tema "I Wanna Be Where You Are".
