I'm disappointed, this is not Beyonce. This song is best tailored for a younger demographic. Real talk, Beyonce is a woman not a girl and honestly it lacks the lyrical creativity we all know she is capable of. I am sad because our best artists are being pressured to be way too commercial and pop. There is nothing wrong with trying something new but if you do go hard and make it work. The original song should have been left alone, there was no need to add words to it. I hope that there is more to come with the new album, I already know I'll be donned as a hater but I'm a consumer who knows good music and to be honest this song can't even touch any of her prior first singles or even that of her Destiny's Child days. This is not to be negative but just to be a voice amongst all the fans who will like whatever she puts out because of who she is but this is from a fan who is sick of people cloning each other just sell. We have Rhianna, we have Gaga, we need Beyonce to be Beyonce minus the leotards, along with the creative changes that outfit can now be retired...I'm guessing it's easier to dance in....

So I came across this Vlog about Beyonce's latest song earlier today and just cant stop thinking about it...

While the facts stated in this vlog maybe true....the biggest issue I am having with it is, I think that the message of what Beyonce is delivering is being mis-interpreted...as a male who recognizes that women are not also seen to be equal in certain situations, my understanding of the song is to empower females to come together to run the world...I thought that was the whole reason for having 200 female dancers in the video...besides the fact that she can afford it...making her salary probably a lot higher than men in the same field (sited from forbes.com)....I personally feel that if you wallow in the inequality and believe in it..then its YOUR truth...but women such as Oprah, Beyonce, Madonna, Lady GaGa, Hillary Clinton, Condoleezza Rice, J.K. Rowling, Michelle Obama, Irene Rosenfeld, Nancy Pelosi, & Sarah Palin (though I dont agree with her politics) have made it clear that its not their truth....they have refused to believe in the inequality personally to allow themselves to be on the top of their game. Simply said...I think you are a product of your own beliefs..if you believe that you aren't equal...then you wont be...but that doesn't mean its has to be that way...you over come it by changing your belief to..I am equal...and never settle for anything less...What I really cant stand about this vlog is that its another female putting down a female for taking the initiative to try and empower the unity of females.

I really take my hat off to you for being able to surpass these inequalities of life and teach other females that they dont have to accept it...while teaching males that it will not be tolerated...continue to do you girl!
