When I watched the movie Cadillac Records I got to see Beyonce and I got to learn about Etta James. I fell in love with EJ music and I fell in love with Beyonce even more. EJ will be miss greatly but thank God she left us with some awesome music.

i agree amandalc25 get off this site with such hate. beyonce never disrespected mrs. james. she showed great admiration for her and until bey performed the song for the pres.and first lady. mrs. james stated how great of a job bey had done in the movie, etc. bey never had harsh words even when mrs. james made the comments that she stated. after making harsh comments mrs. james said she was joking. if she was or not, bey never disrespected her. stop being so nasty. bey did a good job just as others that performed at last, and mrs. james is a legend, classic, rip.

"At Last" was not ETTA James song. "In 1941 Mark Gordon and Harry Warren wrote At Last for the musical film Orchestra Wives. Glenn Miller in 1942 recorded the song and it charted on the Pop Charts. Also Miles Davis, Nat King Cole and a few others recorded it before Etta James. Etta James recorded her version in 1960 and it went on to become the most popular recording of At Last." Etta should be greatful to Beyonce for doing Cadillac Records, because most people didn't even know who she was before that movie was released. Sorry to hear about her death, but what she said about the president and Beyonce was very disrespectful.

the most important part of what you get to do, is inspire women all over the world. You've done it. Be an amazing roll model for young girls & older women, of all ages, all over the world. You've done it. It's CRAZY i remember singing "Survivor", "Bug-A-Boo", "Bills" when i was probably 8 or 9 years old with an old school CD walkman with the head phones hahaa.... It's as if you're someone, that for literally half of my life i could go to for strength, when i'm sad, when i'm happy with my friends, no matter what occasion 'Beyonce has been there.'
Seeing behind the scenes footage, & your "2+0+1+1= 4" video, had a huge impact on me as a young women. How strong, beautiful, admirable & independent we can truly be. Even the way you love is admirable. I saw this video on youtube of you asking "Why did God give me this gift?"... I don't know either but the way you own it, respect it and love what you do is absolutely incredible.
And when you took over your music with all creative control & showed us who you are & shared your stories, is when i realized how much of a Super Woman you really are.
My dad always told me "Change the way you see the world, and the world you see will change" & you helped me really take in that powerful statement.
I read the article on your website By: Amber E. Hopkins-Jenkins, posted yesterday. It's incredible, for the last few weeks i've been listening to a lot more of your music than i usually do, learning a little more about you as an artist & that article has come out shortly after i noticed the same thing.

Please do not delete this, because Beyonce needs to know this. I saw Dereon in the stores...well on the clearance rack, and the material and design were really cheap. Please Beyonce hire a new design team, because I would like to support your line, but the quality and designs are really poor. If you want the public to support your clothing line, you have to provide them with quality. Check out Jessica Simpson line...it's worth almost one billion dollars because the quality and design are top notch. I see her line everywhere, in Macy's, and DSW, and other nice stores, please take this to heart.
